Boree Potash is an exploration and development company focused on potash within Australia.
Potash is one of three essential nutrients for plants. Due to increasing agricultural intensity, potash is in global demand to feed crops for food and fuel. Despite having a large agricultural sector with a proud history, Australia imports 100% of its potash fertiliser requirements. Boree Potash is working to develop domestic production of potash to help Australian farmers deliver high quality food and produce for home and export markets.
Boree Potash plans to develop a solution mining operation to extract the potash from within the salt in its leases and produce potash fertiliser. Solution mining is a highly efficient and environmentally safe method of extracting minerals. This technology has low impact on the ground at surface and enables a targeted extraction of potash from within the salt, minimising the use energy and resources needed to produce the fertiliser for our crops. Boree Potash will leverage the experience of decades of potash solution mining and fertiliser production in Canada, Russia and the USA. |
